The Rattling Dogs are a charming, authentic and unique band from Leeds. They play Irish, Scottish and English folk music for dancing and come with an experienced caller to teach you the different routines. The Rattling Dogs consist of a caller plus four young and talented musicians playing the mandolin, flute, guitar and fiddle, with all members providing vocals as well. Offering something truly unique, this band provides a fun and enjoyable experience that'll raise a smile and encourage everyone to get involved.
The Rattling Dogs have been playing together as a folk band for nearly 5 years after meeting and performing together and, during this time, developed into a tight musical unit. Their professional caller is one of the most experienced in the business, having done the job for over 15 years! The musicians' close friendships coupled with the caller's energetic calling is an exciting addition to your event. And don't worry if you don't think you can dance, The Rattling Dogs perform dances for all levels of experience. Some of their recent performances include playing at Leeds University Folk Society, Ripon Sailing Club and All Hallows Church, Leeds.
The Rattling Dogs are ideal for weddings, parties and festivals, and any event where you want to dance! As standard, the band perform 2x45 minute sets which roughly equates to 8-10 dances, and they will also learn 2 special requests. Their standard line-up can be adjusted to suit your budget and space requirements, with the option to drop it down to a 4-piece by losing the fiddle. All PA will be provided by the band, meaning you won't have to worry about organising a thing!
