This 4-piece West Yorkshire band for hire play a heart-lifting collection of soul and funk classics all the way through to high energy pop and indie music to make sure everyone at your event will be dancing and singing to the songs they love! Expect to hear contemporary hits from Estelle to Bruno Mars, and a whole repertoire of songs that will take you back through the ages - from 90s and party classics by The Commitments and Oasis, to 80s hits by Journey and the Police, uplifting 70s legends from Queen and Stevie Wonder, all the way to 50s and 60s classics from icons like Aretha Franklin and Elvis!
The band have a wealth of experience, having performed on the Jools Holland show, the Montreux jazz festival, Glastonbury, T in the Park, European festivals, SXSW in Texas and even as part of the BBC Yorkshire symphony orchestra! Members of the Nine Tones have also played alongside the likes of the Happy Mondays, Coldplay, Underworld, the Kaiser Chiefs, Joe Strummer and Kate Nash.
When The Nine Tones take to the stage, they deliver a live playlist of songs taken from the band's big song list - but they also have a core set of songs which they recommend to get everyone up dancing. The band are happy for you to have some input on their set list, but you can have every confidence in relying on The Nine Tones to use their 20 years' experience to get your guests up and enjoying themselves!
When you book The Nine Tones, the band will provide a playlist playlist service included in the price to make sure there's no silences during their breaks! Alternatively, you can book a full manned DJ service, giving you the chance to make requests. If booking for a wedding, the band will also learn your first dance as standard.
As standard, The Nine Tones perform as 4-piece band with drums, bass guitar, and male vocals. You've got the option to expand the band's sound by adding female vocals, saxophone, and keys - and if you can't get enough, be sure to enquire about the extra 30 minute performance or the 1.00am finish!
The group also offer a chilled-out acoustic set perfect for your afternoon reception, with delightful female vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar and saxophone. For a contemporary, relaxed atmosphere suitable for any event, you can book the acoustic set as a stand-alone act or to complement the full band experience.
PA and lighting is included in the price, saving you set-up headaches in case your venue isn't fully equipped, and for something a little different why not book the band's self contained selfie photobooth? The booth comes with props and a touch-screen pod to provide awesome snaps of you and your friends! The photos will be emailed or texted to your guests, and the band will send you the full collection of photos that were taken from the night the day after the event.
