Featuring a combination of classic favourites from Marvin Gaye and James Brown, party-starters from Chic and Prince, and modern chart-toppers by Pharrell Williams and Bruno Mars, The Borders’ repertoire seamlessly ties together funk, soul, Motown, disco and pop.
The Borders boast an impressive line-up of a magnificent lead female vocalist, male vocals and electric guitar, bass, keys and drums. These stellar musicians’ performance ensures you have a night of rollicking entertainment that’ll make jaws drop.
This incredible, floor-filling band have been performing together for nearly 10 years. With hundreds of weddings, parties and corporate events under their belts, The Borders know exactly how to get you and your guests moving on the dance floor. All members of The Borders have extensive musical backgrounds as trained musicians at prestigious universities and colleges. Over their exceptional careers, they have performed for many important clients, including Michael Owen’s (pro-footballer) relative’s wedding at his stables in Cheshire. Other clients; The Royal Air Force, Greater Manchester Police, BLISS and Llangollen Pavilion.
The Borders offer a smaller 4 or 3-piece option, without keys and drums, ideal to suit venues with limited performance space or sound limiters. As well as this, you can book their charming classical guitar, spellbinding piano, acoustic duo or delightful solo vocalist set for your wedding ceremony or drinks reception. When you book The Borders, they will come fully contained with all the equipment they need for their performance, including lighting and a PA system. In between their live sets, they also provide a manned DJ service where you can make requests throughout the night. Additionally, The Borders will learn one special request/first dance and perform it on the night of your event, included in their price.
